Quiz strategy and goal setting

Plan a quiz that shoppers finish and that leads to sales.

Start with the decision

Think about the question shoppers are trying to answer, like "which serum is right for me?". Every quiz question should help answer it.

Keep it short

3 to 6 questions is a good length. Check Where shoppers leave after launch, and simplify the questions people drop at.

Ask about the shopper, not the product

"How does your skin feel by midday?" works better than "Do you want niacinamide?".

Map answers to your catalog

Before writing answers, check how your products are tagged. Answers can point to tags, product types, vendors, collections and prices.

Decide what success looks like

Pick one number to improve, like add-to-cart rate from the quiz. Then use A/B tests to try changes.
